Christmas in Branson, Silver Dollar City!

Finally on our last day we go to Silver Dollar City.  It is usually a magical experience with all the Christmas decor and the nice people.  This year was not as magical, but still a lot of fun.  We still took our stroller this year due to fear of not having it and wanting to be able to have all the boys in one spot.  I think that is why is was not as magical.  They barely wanted in it and when they were it was extremely heavy trying to go up all the hills.  For sure no stroller next year!  Other than the frustrating stroller it was a good time.  We rode some rides, we saw Santa, we watched the huge musical Christmas tree and we watched the Christmas light parade.  They were so excited to see Santa this year and each went up individually and told him what they wanted for Christmas.  It was so much fun to watch!

Christmas in Branson, Random!

Here are some pictures of us just around the resort on Saturday morning.  We also decided that we would try to take the boys to the Dixie Stampede since it was recommended by our resort staff.  I was a little weary about taking 3 years olds to anything where they had to sit for more than 10 minutes, but we thought we'd try it out anyway.  Well, the LOVED it!  I think I missed half the show because I was having so much fun watching their expressions.  We aren't allowed to take pictures during the show, but I sure wish I could have.  At the end Santa came out on a carriage and the boys all stood up and started yelling "Santa, Santa" and waving.  Even the people around us were watching them and smiling at how excited they were.  I think the Dixie Stampede may become a yearly tradition as well!  The last pictures are of the boys playing video games.  There is game room beside the indoor pool at the resort and they could not wait to play games.  Lucky for us it was a quick thrill because everything was a bit big for them, but they still had fun!

I wanted a picture of all of us overlooking the lake.  Isn't it special?
Typical Max not cooperating.  I kept it so he can see how difficult he was!

Christmas in Branson, Swimming!

So we have continued our tradition and went to Branson the first weekend in November for Branson's Christmas celebration. A little early for Christmas, but the weather is usually not too cold yet and it seems like a good time for us to get away. I will break this down into three posts since I have so many pictures to post. We got there are Friday evening and the first thing we did was take advantage of the indoor pool!  Last year we only went to the pool once because they were freaked out by the shark that was on the wall.  This year however, we got our use out of it.  We went swimming every day and again at night!  Of course in Levi's typical fashion he didn't get in much, but he sure liked swimming in the hot tub when we were in it.  It probably felt safer to him since it was smaller (and warmer)!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was crazy this year!  We started the day by a parade at the boys school!  They went on stage and told everyone what their costume was!  That was followed by a party in their class.  We then went to see my Grandma at the hospital, then to my mother-in-law's work.  Finally they crashed and woke up just in time to attempt to eat dinner and go out trick or treating!  They were so into it this year.  It was exhausting, but a lot of fun seeing the boys get so excited.

Carving Pumpkins!

The boys were really into carving pumpkins this year.  They each picked a pattern of what they wanted on their pumpkin.  I tried helping by outlining the pattern, but I got the "Mommy you can't do it because you're a girl" phrase.  That was fine by me, I just took the pictures!
