Katy Trail to get Ice Cream!

On Friday the boys and I took a bike ride from the Family Arena to Frontier Park where we had a picnic lunch.  From there we went and got an ice cream on Main Street (the boys call it “Ice Cream Street”) and finally rode our bikes back.  It was a rough start where if not one boy it was another stopping for some reason, but once they were able to see the Casino and bridge they started getting excited that we were almost there.  The picnic and ice cream were a lot of fun and on the way back we had to stop in “Favorite Aunt Sandy’s Tunnel” to take a few pictures.  They kept asking if she had to get a new car or if the tunnel was new.  They were very intrigued that she was able to drive through the tunnel!  (Sorry F.A. Sandy…we love you!)  The boys did great until the very end when Will became hot and was ready to be done.  Luckily at that point our destination was right around the corner.  It was really fun to just spend the day with the boys!  Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Meet the Teacher-Levi!

Thursday night was a meet the teacher night for Levi.  He met his new Kindergarten teacher Ms. Barth!  He was so cute and had to put on "handsome" clothes!  Next week Max and Will have their meet the teacher night and then in a few more weeks it's off to Kindergarten!

 

Table Rock Lake!

Dale, the boys and I were able to get away to Table Rock Lake for the weekend.  We played on the lake a lot but the boys just had to swim at the pool.  Levi and Will finally jumped off the side of the pool and went down the slide!  We couldn't get them to jump into the lake though.  They insisted there were sharks, crocodiles and sea turtles in the lake.  At one point Levi was swimming in the lake and swam over a stick.  He insisted he was bit by a sea turtle and wouldn't get in the lake any more!  The lake was so clear that if there happened to be anything in the water we would have seen it, but there was no convincing Levi otherwise!  Will and Levi did go tubing.  Levi didn't like it too much and only went one time, but we couldn't get Will off of it.  It was a nice weekend away and we look forward to going again later this summer!

Zoo for Mama Weber's Birthday!

All the grand kids took Mama Weber to the Zoo for her birthday this year.  It was a beautiful day and we saw a lot of animals.  The monkey's were especially active.  We also met up with Aunt Tara's mom, dad, sister and nephews.  When we left we went to Papa Great's job site to visit him.  Then finally we went to McDonald's for lunch.
