Swimming Lessons

The boys started swimming lessons a few weeks ago at the YMCA.  Since we are around water so much in the summer we thought this  was something good for them, and it gives them something to do in the winter.  The first week it took Max a little before he would get in, but he finally did and loved it.  The second week it took Will and little while to get in.  Last summer Levi was skittish around water for a while so we weren't sure how he would do, but he got right in and wanted to be the first to do everything.  Now they ask us every day if they have swim lessons tonight.  Dale and I enjoy watching them every week and think they will be great with the water this summer.

Dentist

Last Thursday the boys went to the dentist for the first time.  Papa went with us because I was nervous about taking them myself.  We went back and there were several chairs lined up with several hygentists so they could all go at the same time.  Will refused to get into the chair and was clinging to me the entire time.   Finally the dentist had me hold Will so he could at least brush his teeth with a regular tooth brush and look at his teeth.  Max started to refuse but Papa got him to sit in the chair and hold his hand.  Levi went right into the chair sat down and let them do their thing.  They all looked good so far!  They each got 2 new toothbrushes and several trinkets from the prize buckets.  We were in and out of there within 30 minutes.  It was the best dental experience I've ever had!  And thanks again to Papa because if he weren't there I know Max would not have gone either.  It's just always better to have a helper!

Gmama's birthday!

I am behind on my posts, but a few weeks ago we went to my grandparent's to celebrate Great Grandma's (Gmama to the boys) birthday.  We had cake and ice cream and visited with lots of family.  My dad was able to get us together for a picture with Gmama and Gpapa.  Of course we are all looking at a different camera, but it still turned out pretty good!

Funnies!

I almost forgot about this post I wrote a while back.  Better late than never!

The boys have been saying the funniest things lately. Who knows where they get in from, but it’s pretty funny! Here are some stories and funny things the boys have been saying!  I am sure I will have plenty of things to add in future posts!

The boys were all play fighting one night and it was very loud. We couldn’t get them to stop so I finally told them that if they wanted to fight to go outside so I didn’t have to hear it. Max walks over to where Dale and I were and said “This does not involve you, it involves us.” I guess I was put in my place!

We were putting op the Christmas tree and Max was interested in helping the most. He kept calling the ornaments “Arguments”.

I gave Levi his oatmeal for breakfast and he said “Well hello gorgeous!”

The boys were all looking for Fred (our elf) one morning when Will said “Where are you Fred, Fred the stinky head.” Fred probably didn’t give Santa a good report on him that night!

The boys had a puppet show at school recently. They were telling me how one puppet tickled Levi and Will but not Max. Max was saying that next time the puppet would tickle him. He then said “You never know!”

Max had been looking at all the “arguments” from the Christmas tree to find one’s with his name on it. He would then put all of his ornaments on a single branch. He would find the ornaments that still had the little “Made in China” stickers on them and insisted there were his because they started with an “M”.

Max was being a bully and chasing Will. Will jumped on the couch and turned to Max and said “Max you’re a pain in my ass!” (Oops! I know I say that without realizing what I’ve just said.)

Sledding!

Last week it snowed just enough for the boys to get out their new sleds from Santa!  They have been waiting and waiting for snow!  We have a little hill in our backyard that was perfect for the boys to sled down.  They made snow angels (tried anyway, it wasn't deep enough to really see what it was) and had a snowball fight as well.  Max and Will even got brave enough to go down the hill standing up!  (I see water skiers in our future!)  They had so much fun and are already asking when it's going to snow again!

Klondike Park!

After bowling last Friday we went to lunch and then drove around while the boys napped in the car.  We ended up at Klondike park when they were waking up so we decided to take a little walk before we headed home.  We were going up this big hill to look out over the river.  Max kept saying he wanted to go home.  We kept pushing him to keep walking and then he said "We should have brought the stroller or something!"  He eventually gave in and had a good time, but he was happy to back in the car!

Bowling!

We took the boys bowling for the first time last Friday!  We weren't quite sure how this would turn out, but the boys loved it!  After Dale helping them a couple of times, they were able to do it all by themselves.  And as soon as the ball would hit the pins they would jump up and down.  When we were finished, Levi was upset he couldn't keep the shoe's!  It was so much fun!
