Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  Levi woke up by 6:30 and came in and said "Mom, I am going to go downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny brought!"  Unfortunately for him we made him wait until everyone was awake!  Max woke up next and had no clue what was going on.  Finally Will was stirring, but he didn't want to get out of bed.  But once I mentioned the Easter Bunny he was jumping out of bed!  Their baskets had candy, Lego's, a jet ski and and Cowboy Hat!  They were so excited about it that we had to put the Lego's together before we hunted eggs!  After we hunted eggs and had breakfast we went to the barn.  The boys took a bike ride while I went for a run.  And then we just hung out and enjoyed the nice day.  Finally after leaving the barn we went to Grandpa and Grandma Hackmann's.  We had another egg hunt and had a nice dinner.  It was a very nice Easter!

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a fun and busy weekend!  On Friday we went to Mama Weber and Papa Great's to celebrate.  We ate pizza, hunted eggs and played with cousins!  On Saturday we celebrated Easter with my mom's extended family.  When we were heading out to hunt eggs we had a surprise guest, the Easter Bunny!  Finally on Saturday night we dyed Easter eggs.  the boys really got into it and came up with some creative eggs.  We had a fun and busy filled weekend and are ready for the Easter Bunny to come!

Science Center

Our friend Kristen was keeping two of her friends triplets that are just a couple of months older than the boys so we decided to take them all to breakfast and then to the Science Center.  They all played so well together and were all very, very good!  I felt like we were running a daycare at times trying to herd 5 kids in the same direction, but overall it was a great success!  Everyone had a really good time.

Record Snow

I really thought Spring was finally on it's way, but of course we were surprised by a foot of snow at the end of March!  Dale worked for 2 days straight, but of course as soon as he got home he had to play in the snow with the boys!  They all liked working like daddy and used shovels, garden hoe's, and the tractor to clean snow off of the driveway!  And they were finally able to make a snowman using the snowman kit Grandpa and Grandma Hackmann got them for Christmas.  Even though we were ready for Spring, this snow was nice surprise!

Purina Farms

My dad and I decided to take the boys to Purina Farms to see the baby animals in their Easter Village.  It was cold, cold, cold!  A lot of the activities are in a barn so I thought it wouldn't be too bad, but I think the barn was colder than the outside!  Also, there was two school buses full of kids that were going through the barn at the same time as us.  And since we rushed through the barn because of the crowd we still had an hour before the dog show.  We didn't want to wait in the cold so we left.  The dog show is actually what makes the drive worthwhile so needless to say, it wasn't spectacular!  The kids enjoyed it though so that's all that matters.  Since we cut our trip short we decided to drive through Lone Elk Park to look at the animals.  When we got there we saw the the Wild Bird Sanctuary was there as well so we got out to look at all the birds.  The boys enjoyed seeing all the neat birds and thought it was funny when my dad would make bird calls!  Finally we drove through the park and saw Bison and Deer.  So even though Purina Farms was kind of a bust, it actually turned out to be a fun, very cold, day!
