My dad and I decided to take the boys to Purina Farms to see the baby animals in their Easter Village. It was cold, cold, cold! A lot of the activities are in a barn so I thought it wouldn't be too bad, but I think the barn was colder than the outside! Also, there was two school buses full of kids that were going through the barn at the same time as us. And since we rushed through the barn because of the crowd we still had an hour before the dog show. We didn't want to wait in the cold so we left. The dog show is actually what makes the drive worthwhile so needless to say, it wasn't spectacular! The kids enjoyed it though so that's all that matters. Since we cut our trip short we decided to drive through Lone Elk Park to look at the animals. When we got there we saw the the Wild Bird Sanctuary was there as well so we got out to look at all the birds. The boys enjoyed seeing all the neat birds and thought it was funny when my dad would make bird calls! Finally we drove through the park and saw Bison and Deer. So even though Purina Farms was kind of a bust, it actually turned out to be a fun, very cold, day!
