Backyard Summer Fun!

We got a small backyard pool and a new sprinkler for the boys to splash in.  Baby Jacob joined the boys in the pool before we put too much water in.  The boys were a bit excited and wild, but Baby Jacob had fun anyway.  After Jacob went in for his nap, the boys started jumping into the pool.  They got a kick out of me taking pictures of them jumping in and kept telling me to take their picture again.  It was pretty fun seeing their expressions and catching them in action.  They then splashed in the sprinkler before they laid on their beach towels for "sun camping"!  It was a fun summer day!

Lightning Bugs!

The lightning bugs were out in full force the other night so the boys got their bug nets and went to work!  They had a blast chasing them and eventually  they each caught one!

Lake of the Ozarks!

Our friend's Hanna and Andrew invited us to spend the weekend with them at their house at the Lake of the Ozarks with their son Gavin and our friend's Becky and Macie.  The kids all had a blast playing with each other.  We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day on Saturday so we could enjoy swimming in the lake, although the water was still quite cold.  Hanna and Andrew arranged a scavenger hunt for the kids which included riding in the boat or on a wave runner to find clues and treasures.  The boys thought that was the coolest thing.  The boys also really enjoyed fishing off the dock.  Levi and Will caught their first fish, but unfortunately we didn't have the camera with us at the time.  The boys were super excited though and can't wait to go fishing again.  We had such a good time relaxing with friends!  It was a wonderful weekend.

Tornado!

So the May 31st Tornado was a scary night!  We were literally a quarter of a mile from houses that were destroyed.  The sirens went off so we went downstairs.  The sky was wicked looking so the boys and I got in the closet.  Dale kept watching out the window, although now that he knows what happened he says next time he won't be watching, but joining us in the closet.  Anyway, I don't have many exciting pictures to share, just the boys helping us pick up all the tree's that were down.
