Cookies With Santa!

We had my MOMMES club annual cookies with Santa on Saturday night.  We have already seen Santa at Silver Dollar City, but we have gone to this event since the boys were babies.  They have so much fun playing with all the other kids and Dale and I enjoy talking with other parents that go through the same things as us.  It is very reassuring on our part that we aren't the only one's that certain things happen to!  when we first walked in Levi said " Can I go see Santa Right Now?"  So Levi saw Santa right away, however we could not get Will and Max to go.  Finally we took a picture of all the kids with Santa and we convinced them to go but they wouldn't sit on Santa's lap!  They were very happy to talk to him though and then continue on with their playing!

St. Nick's

The boys came home from school Friday afternoon to find that St. Nick had came.  They got Christmas Jammies, M&M's, some spinning toy and a "Castle Guy" (an Imaginext figure).  They were so excited, especially about the castle guy, that they played castle guys all night long.

Aunt Karen's Surprise

Last weekend my Aunt Karen took the boys overnight.  Dale and I went to dinner and got some Christmas shopping done.  We had an overnight sitter and no obligations and we were sleeping by 10 p.m.  It was wonderful!  Aunt Karen however had a surprise for the boys.  My cousin Katlin's girlfriend has a couple of horses.  Karen surprised the boys by taking them to the stables and Katlin taking them horseback riding.  Max wouldn't do it, but still loved the horses.  If that wasn't enough excitement for our boys, they had stopped at the grocery store on the way home and there was a firetruck in the parking lot.  They were looking at in when the firemen came out and let them sit in the firetruck.  This time Levi wouldn't do it but he stood by it.  When we went to pick them up the next day they told us "go back where you came from".  Haha!  I would imagine we were quite boring to the excitement Karen gave them.  I think aunt Karen wins Aunt of the Year for this!  The boys will be asking to go to her house all the time now!

Branson Christmas!

So we went trick or treating on Thursday, then Friday we headed to Branson for our Christmas tradition.  It seemed really early, but it's nice going the first weekend since it's still somewhat warm and less hectic with holiday gatherings.  When we got there Friday the first thing we did was swim!  Then Megan, Bill and Jacob came down that weekend too so they came over to our condo for pizza then we went swimming again.  Saturday we drove around for a while and then took the boys to play mini golf!  They thought it was fun although we didn't make it the full 18 holes!  On Saturday night we went to the Dixie Stampede.  The boys loved it.  At one point the MC was singing about eating dinner and came in the crowd.  He stopped right before our row and Levi was on the end.  He sang something about wiping your hands on your clean pants while pointing directly at Levi while the spotlight was on him.  If we could have only taken a picture of his face.  It was priceless!  Finally on Sunday we went to Silver Dollar City.  The boys were really into the rides this year.  The all rode the kid roller coaster.  Levi said he wouldn't ride it again, but Max and Will loved it.  Then they rode a bunch of rides with Jacob.  Jacob loved the rides too and would cry when they were over and had to get off!  We then saw Santa, walked around for a while and enjoyed the Christmas lights, watched the parade, rode the train and watched the dancing Christmas tree.  It was another great Christmas in Branson!  We are so happy to have started this tradition with the boys.  They look forward to it every year!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was very busy and fun!  The day before Halloween the boys had a parade at school where they went on stage on told everyone what their costume was, then they had a party.  They had tons of snacks and played a bunch of games with all their friends in their class.  It was so cute to watch them interact with the other kids.  On Halloween we went to Grandma Hackmann's work with Jacob and Blake to trick or treat.  We then went to see GGma Weber, then GG Thomure.  Finally we had to stop at the grocery store on our way home.  The boys were still in their costumes and the boys got to see three "Real" firemen.  They all talked to Max and he thought he was so cool!  We went home for a while then went to aunt Megan and Uncle Bill's for some snacks before heading out to trick or treat.  The weather was not the best, but luckily we borrowed Papa Great's golf cart to drive them around.  They had a ton of fun and now we are just trying to find somewhere to hide all the candy so everyone (even Dale and I) stop eating it!

A funny story of the night!  There was a Halloween commercial where someone was giving out dental floss and the people said "lame".  Anyway Max actually got dental floss.  The funny thing is that he thought it was the greatest thing.  We had to floss his teeth with it before bed.  He had to sleep with it on his shelf in his room.  We had to floss again before school.  And because I wouldn't let him bring it to school he had to put it in my purse so that we remembered to bring it to Branson with us!  When my mom called to ask the boys how trick or treating was the first thing Max said was "I got dental floss Mama Weber!"  I'm glad he was excited about it, but it was making all of us laugh!
