Table Rock Lake-Day 2

On our 2nd day at Table Rock lake we decided to get out the Hot Dog tube!  First Grandpa and the boys had to bring it down to the boat in their hot dog mobile!  Once we got on the lake Levi was the only one that wanted to ride the hot dog, so he and daddy enjoyed a long ride.  Finally Max wanted a turn.  After riding for a while the front hit a wave and went under a little and it freaked Max out, so we stopped and swam for a while.  Finally all the boys were playing on the tube and Papa had to move our boat away from the shore so the boys rode on the tube.  Little did they know that Papa kept going a little bit faster every so often!  A storm came in so we went in for a while.  We headed back out in the evening and all the boys went tubing.  All of a sudden we see a wall of rain so we turn around while the boys are tubing.  Then a rainbow appears behind them!  It kept getting brighter and brighter and before you know it there was a second rainbow!  It was the coolest thing.  And in Max's words "the rainbow is God showing us his power"!  So after a cool picture we pulled the boys in and booked it to the dock where we made it just before it poured.  The rainbow was so close the boys had to search for the treasure, but someone stole it before they got there!  We attempted to head out again after the rain passed but ran into another storm so we decided to call it a night!

Table Rock Lake-Day 1

We went to Grandpa and Grandma's condo for a long weekend this past weekend.  The first day we headed to the lake after breakfast.  Max tried out the wake-board.  He didn't actually go when the boat was running, but he was just getting used to the feel of it and the sensation of being pulled by the rope.  After that Will tried the skii's.  He actually tried it with the boat running, but on about his 3rd try the rope got stuck on the bar holding the skiis together while the boat was going.  This really freaked him out so that was it for that!   Hopefully they will both try again soon!  Next we went to the pool.  We then babr-b-qued and played games in the yard for a while before heading out for an evening boat ride and ice creams!  We saw a beautiful sunset before heading back in to enjoy a night swim before bed.

Vacation Bible School!

The boys attended Vacation Bible School and a few days of summer camp at our church this week.  The boys had so much fun they were mad when I picked them up each day!  Their VBS theme was Everest.  They learned some great new songs, made some crafts, made some new friends and learned about God's presence in our daily lives.  (In my next post you will see how Max has been noticing God!)  After VBS we are headed to Grandma and Grandpa's condo at Table Rock Lake for the weekend!

Zoo!

I had uniforms to pick up down by the Zoo so the boys and I decided to hit up the Zoo since we would be so close.  The boys had the great idea for us all to wear our new Tie Dye shirts!  Everyone knew who belonged with who that day!  We rode the carousel, rode the train and pet and even got to feed the stingrays and sharks.  Besides the stingrays and sharks the boys favorite of the day was the Chimpanzees.  They were very active and fun to watch! It was a fun morning visit to the zoo!
