Tennnesee Camping Trip-NASHVILLE

During the boys fall break this year, we decided to take a trip with the camper.  Our first stop was two nights in Nashville, Tennessee.  Our campground was nice, and we were very excited to finally be camping outside of Missouri.  Our first night we went to The Aquarium restaurant at the Opry Mills Mall.  We had a nice dinner and walked around the mall for a while.  The next day we headed into downtown Nashville.  We went to Tootsies for a drink then to The Swinging Door for lunch.  We then toured the Ryman Auditorium.  It was very cool to see the place where so many stars have been on stage.  The boys really enjoyed seeing all the stars memorabilia, especially Johnny Cash!  We visited a few more places before heading into the boot store for the boys to get some new Cowboy Boots.  Finally, we got ice cream and hopped on the shuttle back to the campground.  It was a short visit to Nashville, but we all had so much fun and we cannot wait to go back!

Last Minute Camping Trip

On Friday afternoon we decided on a whim to take a camping trip since we didn't have anything going on this weekend.  So we loaded up the camper and headed to Ozark Outdoors in Leasburg, Missouri.  It only an hour and half away and it since we've been there before we knew it was a nice place to stay.  Our campsite was awesome as it backed up to a huge open yard that the boys could play at.  And since it is off season we had plenty of space and the boys were able to ride their bikes all around the facility.  On Saturday morning we played around the campsite for a while and then headed down to the river.  The water was quite cold, but we still had fun playing around for a while.  After a couple of hours at the river we decided to go tour the cave at Onagonda State Park which was right up the road.  The cave was amazing and we had so much fun going through it and learning all about this underground world.  Finally we headed back to camp and made dinner over the fire.  We had such a great weekend and we were glad we decided to take this short trip at the last minute.
