Elephant Rocks & Johnson's Shut-Ins State Parks!

Last Sunday we took the boys to Elephant Rocks State Park.  We had a picnic lunch then walked around the park and climbed on the rocks.  The boys thought it was super cool.   When we left we realized Johnson’s Shut-Ins was close so we decided to go there as well.   Since we weren’t expecting to go there we didn’t have any swim stuff or water shoes, but we took off our socks and shoes and splashed around a bit in a calmer flatter area.  The boys were a little disappointed not to play in the water more so they insisted on playing in the sprinkler when we got home.  They slept nearly the entire ride home, but as soon as they woke up they remembered the sprinkler!  So all the boys (including our hairy one) played in the sprinkler when we got home.  It was a really fun day.

Happy 5th Birthday Will, Max and Levi!

Happy 5th Birthday to my handsome boys Will, Max and Levi!  We celebrated all day long doing fun things.  We went to the movies and saw Rio 2, then we came home and daddy brought their present home.  For over a year daddy has told the boys that when they are 5 they can get a dirt bike.  Well daddy stuck to his promise!  They rode the dirt bikes for a short while then we went to swimming lessons.  Afterwards we went to Pizza Street for dinner.  Finally we came home to ride the dirt bike some more!  They are so good on it!  I really didn't think they would be able to ride it for a while, but after Dale running along with them for a short while they were able to take off on their own.  I cannot believe how big and grown up my boys are.  We are so proud of them.  We love you very much Will, Max and Levi!  Happy Birthday!

Boys Birthday Party!

We had a big party for the boys this year since they are turning 5!  We did a cowboy themed party.  All the kids got a cowboy hat, bandanna and Sheriff's badge.  We had a potato sack race, a game where you lasso the horse and a game where you knock the cans down.  We had a little town set up in the back yard, but for some reason I do not have a picture of it!  I was quite busy so I didn't get a lot of pictures that I wanted.  We had cowboy themed food which included BBQ Pork and Chicken, Cowboy Beans, Wagon Wheel Pasta Salad, Frontier Fruit, Campfire Corn on the Cob and Cowboy Caviar!  I made a cowboy themed cake and cowboy boot and hat cookies. The boys had so much fun playing with all their cousins!  They were hysterical when they were opening gifts.  On every present they would say things like "This is awesome!",  "This is the best birthday ever!"  It was so much fun and we are thankful to have such wonderful family and friends to come celebrate with us!
