Fantastic News for Will!
Here is yet another update on Will. He had a follow-up MRI of his brain and cervical spine on Thursday. He had to be sedated for this since it takes about 2 hours. He was not happy about having to get an IV and he insisted he was not going to sleep. He was really upset when we had to walk away from him which was heartbreaking. They called us back before he woke up so that we would be there when he opened his eyes. However, it took him a bit to wake up and when he did he was inconsolable for a while. He kept trying to get his IV out and saying he wanted to leave. We finally got him to settle down a little bit then we had to head upstairs to see the neurosurgeon. From his initial review the MRI looked good, but another specialist had to look at the ventricles (and other such medical terms I do not know). We expressed concerns we had to the doctor and he really thought that a lot of his tiredness and his not feeling well will be resolved when he is taken off his medicine due to it's several side effects. We see the neurologist for that at November 11th. Other than that he thought he was doing really well. The next afternoon we got that call that the MRI was clear and the hemorrhage was resolved! He has been released for recess and P.E. He is so happy that he could not wait to go to school today. I think just being back to activities will help him feel better since he won't feel like an outcast anymore. And in another week he should be taken off of his medicine which should help as well. We're so relieved and ready to have happy carefree Will back! (Although, I think we'll still be a bit protective and worried for a while....or forever!)

Pumpkin Patch!
Fall break wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Saturday morning we went to Thiess Farms Pumpkinland to play and pick a pumpkin. We then went to have lunch at The Boathouse. Finally we headed to the barn where the boys got to drive the tractor. It was a great fall day!

Dolphins!
At our resort in Mexico they had a dolphin pool where we were able to swim and ride with the dolphins. The boys have been talking about the dolphins and saving their money for it for months! When we first got in the dolphin pool we kayaked around them and learned about their habitat's from a trainer. We then went with the trainer Ramone for our experience. We got to kiss the dolphins, high five them and hold them! Levi rode 2 dolphins but cried when he was done because water sprayed in his face. After that Max and Will wouldn't do it, but they got to go on a boogie board while the dolphins pushed them. They each got to ride on the dolphins belly which they really liked. Daddy and Mommy got to be pushed out of the water by the dolphins. Finally Max, Daddy and Mommy fed the Manatees while Levi and Will watched. It was such a neat experience getting so up close to these amazing animals.

M-E-X-I-C-O....this is how I Mexico!
During the boys Fall Break this year we decided to go on vacation to Mexico! The boys rode an airplane for the first time and they were very excited about going to another country. Levi cried for about a minute when the plane took off, but then he was fine. Will and Max giggled and thought it was really cool. We arrived at our resort by 11 a.m. After we ate lunch we changed into our swim wear and started enjoying our vacation! The boys immediately tried a Strawberry Daiquiri at the swim up bar. We swam at the pool for a while until a beach party was set up. They had an array of seafood specialties to eat and several coconut and pineapple drinks to enjoy. The chef put on a show in the ocean with water powered rocket boots which the boys thought was awesome. Max said "Good thing we got here today dad, or we would have missed the party!" We spent our days going from the ocean to the pool to the ocean to the pool to the hot tub! Max picked up snorkeling really well and he was down in the water more than he was up. The boys loved being able to eat and drink whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. They especially loved the breakfast buffet and of course all of the frozen drinks. When we asked which drink was their favorite they say "strawberry daiquiri, banana daiquiri, blue coconut slushy and pina colada"! So they loved them all! Max took to ordering room service and would even tip the person that brought his snack to the door. The boys made so many friends from around the country and even had a friend from Scotland. Since we've been home the boys have been waking up in the mornings saying "I wish I was in Mexico!" We had such a great time with the boys and Riviera Maya was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely go back!
