First Day of School

Today was not only the boys first day of 4th grade,but also their first day at Orchard Farm and their first time riding the bus.  They were really nervous, but came home with smiles on their faces.  They made a lot of friends on the bus and said they like their new school better than their old one.  We look forward to a great 4th grade year!

We had a random free night that we took advantage of and went to the sandbar to play.  It was nice to take a break and head out on the river.

Vacation

We went to Table Rock Lake with Grandma and Papa Hackmann, Aunt Megan, Uncle Bill, Jacob, Riley, Madison, Aunt Lauren, Uncle Ryan, Blake and Reed.  We stayed in our camper and met everyone on the lake or for dinner everyday.  We swam in the pool at Grandma and Papa Condo and spent lots of time on the lake skiing, wake boarding, tubing and just floating.  Jacob, Blake and Riley even stayed in the camper with us for a night.  It was fun spending time on the lake with everyone.

Roller Hockey

The boys had playoffs for their roller hockey league last night.  Their team won both games and the championship for this session.  They were very excited and proud!

We finally had a chance to make it on the river last weekend.  We have been so busy, it was nice to finally take a weekend and get out on the river.

Lake of the Ozarks

We went to our Friend Hanna and Andrew's house at the Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend.  I hardly took any pictures, but we had a lot of fun.

Yesterday was Papa Great's very last chemo treatment!!!  We surprised him with a huge bouquet of orange balloons and donuts for those working and receiving treatment.  That evening we surprised Papa with a 30 pack Friday at Grandma Sue's to celebrate his fight!  We also surprised Mama for her 60th birthday!  I thought Papa suspected what was going on, but when he showed up in PJ pants and his dogs with him, he really didn't know!  Mama knew about the celebration for Papa, but she did not know her birthday was included.  She was surprised as well!  We had a great night celebrating life
