COVID-19 Social Distancing-March

On March 13th things really started getting weird.  A virus called COVID-19 was now well into the US and orders were coming down for American's to Social Distance.  It began as staying home as much as possible and no gatherings of more than 100 people, then to 50 and by the end of the first week down to no gathering of more than 10 people.  We were to stay home and only go out only for essential items.  Every day we had to make decisions for work and restrictions to keep not only our family, but our employees and their families safe as well.  School was canceled and the boys were now doing school activities online every day.  Spring hockey was cancelled, baseball season was cancelled, 5th grade camp was cancelled.  This list of things we can no longer do go on and on.  Trips to the grocery store cause severe anxiety so you stock up with as much as possible to avoid having to go back often.  We now watched Church from out couch on YouTube.

We are making the best of things and enjoying spending time together.  We've gone on bike rides, worked on the patio, all the boys are learning new things and methods of cooking.  We have a COVID-9 school schedule.  7:30 am.-Wake up, clean room, eat breakfast.  8:15 a.m.-Take the dog for a walk.  9:00 a.m.-School.  10:30-12:00 pm.-Creative Time (Drawing, lego's, puzzles, etc.). Then after lunch I go to work and the boys can then play electronics and have other free time. The boys have been scared, but are glad to be home where it is safe.  We hope things will get back to normal soon.

Chicago Outdoor Classic Hockey Tournament

The boys had a hockey tournament in Chicago over the weekend.  We ended up getting 3rd place, but had an amazing time.  We ate, drank, played and watched hockey and played some more.  We had so much fun and it was a great way to end the season.  We are going to miss this team so much!

Parent-Kid Hockey Game

At the end of the hockey season there is always a parent-kid hockey game.  Mommy and daddy both played this year.  It was very hard to get used to skating with a stick, but it was a blast nonetheless.  I got to do the face off against Max and daddy scored a goal on Will.  It was so much playing the boys favorite sport with them!
