Moms of multiples are freaks of nature

I was looking at a multiples website recently and came across this video and thought it was funny. It is a pretty good recap of questions strangers ask me nearly every time I have the kids with me. Although this video conversation is about twins, you can just add a child to the questions.

Bella's 1st Birthday!

Will, Max and Levi's cousin Bella turned 1 this past Saturday and we celebrated at Pump it Up.  Bella was a birthday princess!  (She's the only girl in the family, so she's always a princess!)  The boys had so much fun.  They especially loved the big slide and I am especially thankful to Uncle Bill, Aunt Megan, Aunt Lauren and Grandma Hackmann for taking them down the slide so many times.  I am not sure what I would have done if they weren't there.  We hope Bella had as much fun at her party as we did!

It was Dale's birthday on Sunday and I made him a landscape themed birthday cake.  I thought I would share a picture!

Fun in the snow!

With the weather being a little warmer and snow still on the ground, we have been able to have plenty of play in the snow.  Yesterday the boys helped Dale build a giant snowman, they went sledding down the hill in our back yard, and finally they threw snowballs at daddy.  Max and Levi get a little frustrated trying to walk in the snow and after about 10 minutes they start whining.  Will however loves it, especially the sledding.  He would play in the snow all day if we let him.

Three babies are sleeping.

Dale has been out of town on a skiing trip since Thursday so it's just been me and the boys for the past few days.  They have been adventurous to say the least, testing my every nerve.  My mother-in-law and I were putting the boys to bed tonight and Levi and insisted on bringing his Pillow Pet with him.  I put it in his bed and he laid on it holding his cow and covered up in his blankie.  He looked so precious!  Of course Will and Max then needed their Pillow Pet's as well so that they could be as precious as Levi was.  I was lucky enough to get a few pictures.  I will look at these when they start testing me again so that I remember how sweet they can be!  Anyway, it reminded me of one of my favorite poems that I thought I would share.  It is a poem that I found written by another mother of triplets.

It is the end of the day, three babies are sleeping
I sit in my chair, quietly weeping.
I am not crying because I've had no sleep
Or three times the laundry is piled waist deep.
I am not crying because I look three times the mess,
Three times the spit up, part of my everyday dress.
I am not crying because I've no time at all
To soak in a bath or shop at the mall.
Too tired to do dishes and forget even sweeping
I will sit in my chair and enjoy my weeping.

I am crying because it's the end of the day
Three babies are sleeping, it's quiet this way.
It's time to look back on the way the day went
Three times the fun, look what heaven has sent!
Sure it is hard, we knew from the start
But the hard things get softened by the extra love in our heart.
Three little babies soft cuddly and sweet
Six little hands, and six little feet.
Six little arms that hug me real tight
And three little mouths to kiss me goodnight.
Three times the laughter and ten times the fun
Pity the parents that only have one!
The joy that I feel as I watch my three sleep
Is what makes my heart ache, and makes my eyes weep.

Happy Birthday GGMa!

Yesterday we spent the day at Great Grandpa & Grandma Weber's for Grandma's 82nd birthday!  It was a really nice day.  It started off with Max being completely attached and wouldn't leave my side, but he eventually warmed up and started playing (as long as he could see me).  He has been especially needy since Dale is on a skiing trip with friends.  The boys played in the snow with their cousin Bobby and Levi even crawled through a snow tunnel.  Bobby then taught the boys how to jump on Uncle Howard and then he would fly them like an airplane, but Levi was the only taker on the adventure!  The boys were exhausted when we finally left as was I and everyone else that was there watching all of the boys play.  We hope Grandma enjoyed her day!

This is what Max did for the first 2 hours!

I'm too sexy for my shirt!

Before I get to the shirt story, last weekend we butchered at my Grandparent's.  My dad a/k/a "Papa Great" sat in the Gator and all 6 of his grandson's flocked to him thinking they were going to get a ride.  My Uncle Alan happened to have his camera and we got a great photo of Papa and his boys!
Starting with Papa Great and going counter clockwise: Hunter, Baylen, Max, Colton, Will and Levi

Ok, lately the boys have been obsessed with taking their shirts off.  They think they are hot stuff and run around sticking out their bellies!

He was watching my cousins Wyatt and Justin plow our driveway and in typical Weber fashion, his hand was in his pants!

I had to go answer a phone call for Dale and when I came back this is what I saw!  Ahhhh...future blackmail photo!

Happy New Year!

We had a very relaxing New Year's Eve.  We went to Cabella's to get daddy a Ski coat and came home and made a nice steak dinner (tube steak for the kiddos)!  We watched HGTV and the hockey game.  Once that was over we managed to stay awake to see the ball drop in Time's Square and then went to bed.  I think sleeping was a great way to bring in the new year, especially since kids don't know that they are supposed to sleep in that day!  We are hoping that 2011 will be a great year!
