Hooray for the USA!

The boys had a program at school on Friday called "Hooray for the USA!"  GG, Favorite Aunt Sandy, Mama Weber, Papa Great, Colton, Grandma, Papa, Dale and I all got to come watch.  It was very very cute.  Max covered his face when he knew you were watching, but occasionally you would catch him singing.  Will and Levi sang very quietly and Will kept yawning!  It was so much fun to watch!  Afterwards we had punch and cookies then Mama Weber took all of her grand kids to The Lego Movie, which worked well as a bribe for them to sing!

Valentine's Day!

I went to the boys Valentine’s Day party at their school.  It is so much fun watching them in that setting with all their friends.  When I walked in Mrs. Nichols told the boys they could go give mom a hug but to my surprise the entire class ran over and gave me a huge hug!  It was the best Valentine’s surprise ever!  They then played games, made Valentine’s crafts and ate snacks.

Playing in the Snow

So the temperature was warm enough for the boys to play in the snow for a little bit.  They got snowboards for Christmas and were practicing down the little hill in our backyard.  Max was trying to jump, but since you just slide your feet in the snowboard it wasn't working out good.  Then on Saturday the temperature got to a whopping 33 degrees so we headed up to the school to sled and snowboard down the big hill.  We had so much fun.  We had sled races, snowball fights and snowboarded down a big hill.  They did so well at snowboarding I think we will need to get them a real one for next year.  I am glad we finally got to enjoy all this snow we have had.

Monster Trucks

Santa surprised us with Monster Truck tickets this year.  The boys were super excited and so were Dale and I since it meant getting out of the house!  Before we went though I did the Polar Bear Plunge at Lake St. Louis. Levi took a few pictures as he was the designated photographer for our fun day!  It was freezing, however the water didn't seem too bad because I was so cold before I went in.  The boys enjoyed watching it and it was fun to have them yelling for me!  After the Plunge we came home to change then headed to Monster Trucks.  We had a pit pass so walked around for a little while checking out the trucks.  We then headed to our seats for the show.  The boys loved it.  They would cheer for their favorite trucks.  Will's favorite was Iron Man, Max's favorite was Maximum Destruction and Levi's favorite was Grave Digger!  It was a fun night.  Though February wasn't starting out too good either since Dale had to keep leaving his seat to take phone calls since it was sleeting/freezing rain.  At least he got to stay and enjoy the evening with the boys!

January

So it's been a while since I have posted anything.  Why?  Because there has been absolutely nothing to post.  Why?  Because it has been freezing and snowing ALL THE TIME.  It has even been too cold to play in the snow.  We have been pretty bored here and really tired of staying in the house.  We are counting down the days until spring even though we still have a long way to go.  The boys keep saying "I want it to be summer."  "When is it going to be summer?"  and "Can we go to Florida?"  I believe we won't be complaining about heat this summer!  So goodbye January.  Only 2 more months until Spring!
