Summer Fun!

The boys and I had a Summer Fun day yesterday!  First we went Strawberry picking at Eckert’s in Belleville.  We had a lot of fun and the boys would get excited every time they got to pick a nice big red strawberry.  When we got home the boys were ready to play in some water so we stopped at Target and got a Slip N’ Slide (Slippy Slide as the boys call it).  They literally played on this thing all afternoon.  When they got tired of sliding they just sat on it playing with toys in the little puddles and letting the water spray them.  Finally the boys had their first T-ball practice of the season.  They were excited to wear their new baseball pants and they looked so cute!  I can’t wait to see them in their full uniform when it comes in.  We have a couple of more weeks of practices then the games begin.  We are so happy that summer is finally here!

Mother's Day!

On Mother's Day I got to stay in bed and the boys surprised me by making me a very nice breakfast and giving me flowers!  We then went on the river and spent the day together on the sand bar.  I am a very blessed mommy to have these great boys!

Mother's Day Tea!

Friday the boys school put on a Mother's Day Tea.  It was so special.  I had a place mat made by each of them, a corsage made by each of them and a crown made by each of them.  There was also a picture of them holding a sign why they loved their mommy and a questionnaire about me that they answered.  I won an award because one of the questions asked When is your mom funniest and Will said "She's not"!  Will said he loved me because "I give him hugs", Max said he loved me because "I tell him good morning" and Levi said he loved me because "I fix his bed covers".  They sang numerous songs about moms then we had tea and punch and snacks.  It was such a special day for me and my boys!

Elephant Rocks & Johnson's Shut-Ins State Parks!

Last Sunday we took the boys to Elephant Rocks State Park.  We had a picnic lunch then walked around the park and climbed on the rocks.  The boys thought it was super cool.   When we left we realized Johnson’s Shut-Ins was close so we decided to go there as well.   Since we weren’t expecting to go there we didn’t have any swim stuff or water shoes, but we took off our socks and shoes and splashed around a bit in a calmer flatter area.  The boys were a little disappointed not to play in the water more so they insisted on playing in the sprinkler when we got home.  They slept nearly the entire ride home, but as soon as they woke up they remembered the sprinkler!  So all the boys (including our hairy one) played in the sprinkler when we got home.  It was a really fun day.
