Triple Shock!: Summer Vacation!

Last week we took a vacation to Table Rock Lake with Grandpa and Grandma Weber, Grandpa and Grandma Hackmann, Aunt Megan and Uncle Bill, Aunt Lauren and Uncle Ryan, Ashley and Nick, and Nicki, Kyle and Caiden. It was fun, but it definitely was not relaxing when you have three 2 year-olds! They were good, it was just stressful at times. The ride down was horrible. The kids did not sleep at all and screamed the entire time. To make the trip even better the brakes on the boat trailer that we just paid to have fixed were not working, we blew out a boat trailer tire on the side of the highway, and by the time we got to the resort (6.5 hours later) the brakes in my car were not working so well. We had the trailer brakes fixed again while we were there, got a new tire, attempted to fix my car brakes and to be on the safe side had my brother-in-law tow the boat home. Well we blew out 2 trailer tires on the way home! We haven't done anything to this trailer in the 4 years we've had it and we fix it up so we have a safe trip and look what happens! Go figure! Anyway, new tires and brakes for both the trailer and my car are in order!

Besides the eventful drives the actual vacation was nice. The boys absolutely loved swimming in the lake. Levi and Max had to do it on their own the entire time, but Will still had to hold on to someone. They loved the lake so much that one morning the Grandma's took them to the pool and they freaked out and didn't like it. Dale rode with the boys on the tube and took Will and Max on Jet Ski rides. (Levi was too scared.) It was the hottest week of the year while we were there with temperatures reaching 114 one day! We usually missed the hottest part of the day while the boys were napping, but when you were outside you had to be in the water. The boys learned the word "No" while we were there and I'm already sick of hearing it! I guess I should start preparing for the "why" phase as well.

My dad, Dale's dad, Megan, Bill, Lauren, Ryan and Dale and I all went ziplining one morning. It was a lot of fun, especially watching our dads come into the landing! They wouldn't let us bring our camera and the pictures they took were all blurry so we have no pictures from it. Nicki, Kyle, Caiden, Ashley and Nick joined us later in the week. The boys loved playing with Caiden and want to do everything Caiden does! One day they saw Caiden peeing on a tree. Our first morning home Levi went with me to take Huck outside. He takes his diaper off walked to the tree and says "pee on tree like Caiden"! It was hilarious. I think I might borrow Caiden when we get in full swing with potty training! All in all it was a nice vacation and we can't wait to do it again!
